L.A.-based ethno-experimental collective Ozomatli have announced a contest in which fans will have a chance to create a video for their upcoming single, “City Of Angels.” The track is from the band’s upcoming LP, Don’t Mess With The Dragon (Concord), which is set to be released April 3. And they’ve offered help in the way of live footage and MP3s on their website, www.ozomatli.com, for contestants to sample. The contest runs from February 15 through March 15, by which time all entries must have been received. The band will select the top five videos, and the top three (the contributors of whom will receive cash prizes) will be selected by online fan voting.
