Last week television, fashion, animation, and reality all merged together at the Collete store. Famed fashion designers Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld and Alber Elbaz were on hand to promote the release of the Simpsons Movie. Prior to the release of The Simpsons movie, various portraits were created blurring the line between the real world and cartoons. The portraits featured the designers animated together with The Simpsons family in various fashion settings. The illustrations were created by Matt Groening with Julius Petite in charge of the artwork. The pieces are featured in the August 2007 issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
